Natick Massachusetts is a town of 45,796 (2010 census) located 10 miles west of Boston, MA in Middlesex County, Massachusetts.
Natick, MA was originally settled in the year 1651 by John Eliot, a Puritan missionary who had been commissioned by the English to settle and "consolidate" the Massachusett Indians into 14 designated communities. Natick was one of the best known of these communities and its land was deeded by the Massachusetts General Court as part of the "Dedham Grant."
Natick, MA was later incorporated as a town in 1781. Natick was home to the world's first ever baseball making factory, which opened in 1858. In 1874, Natick was devastated by a widespread fire which caused massive property damage across large portions of the community.
